The veNFT Instrument

Every veLUTE lock is an NFT, and Alandale renders each one as a precision instrument drawn from the lock's live on-chain state. It's the veLUTE lock, visualized as the tool it is.

Three of the movements: Loot Hourglass, The Wanted Writ, The Plucked String

Four movements, one instrument

Each lock is assigned one of four "movements" deterministically by its token id, so a wallet full of locks reads as a varied collection:

  • Escrow Chronometer: a chronometer dial whose arc fills to your remaining voting power, with a needle and a countdown to unlock.

  • Loot Hourglass: sand drains from remaining "loot" to spent as the lock decays.

  • The Wanted Writ: a wanted poster ("By order of the Merry Men · to be released on…") with your unlock date.

  • The Plucked String: a lute string plucked into a bow whose amplitude encodes your voting power.

Everything on the card is real data

Every element of the card is driven by the lock:

Where to find it

Your locks render as instrument cards in the Portfolio view. As a lock decays, the dial empties; when you extend or add, it fills again. The instrument is a live readout of the position, not a snapshot.
